Workshop Overview

Recent Canadian studies tell us that boards of directors in Canada are still struggling with diversity and inclusion despite the myriad of candidates available to serve from diverse backgrounds. This session will look at how your Board culture can actively embrace a spectrum of voices and lived experiences. Learning objectives include:

• Understanding current Canadian demographics
• Understanding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
• Identifying tools to assess the current composition of your board and the gaps to fill
• Examining best practices for diversity, equity and inclusion in board governance
• Developing an action plan for your board
